Ian Ottis Goff

Hello, I’m glad you’re taking a look at my stuff! My name is Ian Ottis Goff and I am an actor, writer, musician, and sound designer based in Toronto, Ontario, with strong ties to the East Coast of Canada, where I grew up. I am the Co-Artistic Director of Falling Iguana Theatre, which is a physical theatre company based in Toronto. My wife, Alexa Higgins, is the other AD. We make weird, heartfelt, funny, and at times surreal theatre. My life as an artist started as a musician playing in bands in high school and early university before I started doing community theatre in Fredericton, NB. Acting and the world of theatre soon became my main focus and I immersed myself in it fully. At the time, I thought that I couldn’t take both paths of music and theatre, so I let the musical side of my artistic life lie dormant. As I spent more time acting in theatre, film, and television, I kept feeling an itch to infuse my artistic practice with my deep love of music once again. To that end, I began composing and creating sound design for theatre and film. This site is about that work.
